Description

What takes this fruit salad to the next level is the three secret ingredients: tart lime zest, sweet honey and the slight crunch of poppy seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 Ounce) Pineapple Chunks, Drained Well
  • 1 can (11-14 Oz. Size) Mandarin Oranges, Drained Well
  • 3 whole Ripe Kiwi, Peeled And Sliced Into Thick Half Moons
  • 1 cup Green Grapes, Halved
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, Quartered
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Zest (from 1 Lime)
  • 1 teaspoon Poppy Seeds (optional)
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey

Preparation

Combine the fruit in a medium-large serving bowl. Add the lime zest and poppy seeds, if using, and gently toss. Drizzle the honey over the fruit and again, gently mix until the fruit is evenly coated with the honey. Serve.

This was delightful–so simple. I loved the texture of the poppy seeds and the freshness of the lime zest. Thanks for sharing!

This was amazing! I took it to our small group and everyone loved it, and it was great for the kids too! I would add, however, that you can’t let it sit for more than a few hours, so don’t make it too far ahead of time — the fruits give off a lot of juice and after a while it collects at the bottom, kind of nasty looking.

I left out the pineapple (not a fan) added raspberries and blackberries and reduced the amount of honey by half. This was incredible!

I now omit the mandarin oranges and use fresh pineapple (per personal taste), but I can’t get enough of this fruit salad! The honey and lime combination makes some serious magic!

Really good. I used fresh pineapple and didn’t have any poppy seeds, but still great!
