I am not a big Baked beans fan but my husband loves them. This was very good and it really makes a lot great for a crowd. We used the barbecue sauce from the slow cooker pulled pork recipe really good.

This recipe is a big hit with my family. They love it! I love it because it was delicious, quick to throw together and relatively healthy. When I use canned beans in a recipe I like them rinsed and drained, so that’s what I did here knowing that I would have to add some extra liquid to make up for it. Instead of the ketchup, I added a 15 oz can of diced tomatoes with their juice. I also added 1 cup of beef stock, so between the tomatoes and the stock there was enough liquid. I also used just a bit more BBQ sauce than the recipe called for. It was wonderful. This recipe is quick and easy to make, and just delicious. I’m sure that I’ll be making this often.

My 14yr old daughter made this and she and her brother LOVED it! I liked it very much also. We also used twice the BBQ sauce, only because I figure if some is good more is better right? :)
