Description

An easy recipe that’s loaded with deliciousness.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Uncooked Salad Macaroni Pasta
  • 2 cups Chopped Celery
  • ¾ cups Chopped Sweet Pickles
  • 2 whole Green Onions
  • 1  Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 bunch Fresh Dill
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Italian Parsley
  • ¼ cups Real Bacon Bits Plus Extra For Garnish
  • ½ teaspoons Salt (or Salt To Taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Prepared Yellow Mustard

Preparation

Bring a medium size pot of water to a boil and add the macaroni. Cook until al dente (about 7 minutes). Rinse the pasta under cold water and set aside.

Chop the celery, sweet pickles, green onions, red bell pepper, and add them to a large bowl. Then chop the dill and parsley, and add them to the bowl.

Next, add the real bacon bits, salt, pepper, mustard, mayonnaise and macaroni to the bowl. Stir together and chill before serving if you have time.

Garnish with bits of bacon.

I found this pasta salad to be very good. I tend to stay away from salads in which mayo is the main ingredient used in the sauce, but the veggies and the bacon were a nice crisp touch. Nice and simple as a side-salad in the spring!
