This is one of our favorite salads and it goes good with everything.
In a large bowl, place 3 cups of the lettuce, sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper. Layer eggs atop lettuce, stand some slices on edge. Sprinkle with a bit more salt. Next, layer the peas, the remaining lettuce, 3/4 of the bacon, and the Swiss cheese. Spread mayonnaise atop, sealing to the edge of the bowl. Cover; refrigerate 24 hours or overnight. Top with remaining bacon to serve.
