Thick and full-flavoured with a moreish tang. Low in calories, ready in 15 minutes and just as good as the original from Heinz!
Dice onion and garlic, then fry both in olive oil.
Drain and rinse canned white beans. As soon as the onion starts to turn translucent, add the beans. Now add crushed tomatoes, herbs, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. If desired, slowly add the corn starch while gently stirring the mix.
Simmer for about 10 minutes and taste. Finish off with salt and pepper, if needed.
Done. You just decoded Heinz’ Baked Beans recipe.
