Description

There are many dishes you can make with turkey and meatballs is just the beginning. It’s important to keep your taste buds on their toes when you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle. You don’t want to get bored as that can lead to a derailment. Exploring different flavor combinations is huge when you’re trying to lose weight.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
  • 2 teaspoons Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Spicy Mustard
  • ½ teaspoons Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Basil
  • 2  Egg Whites
  • 2 Tablespoons Lawry's Teriyaki Marinade, Divided
  • 2 Tablespoons Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce
  • 5-¼ cups Cooked Brown Rice

Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, poultry seasoning, garlic, ketchup, spicy mustard, onion powder, basil, egg whites and 1 tablespoon of the marinade. Mix well. The best tool for the job is your hands so dig in! Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Put remaining marinade and chicken broth into a pan. Make 15 golf ball-sized meatballs and add to the pan.

Cook over medium heat until meatballs are 165ºF. Once done, remove from heat and stir in your favorite teriyaki sauce. Serve over brown rice.
