Description

Light, smoky, crusty, cheesy and tasty. Introducing Smoked Salmon Pizza.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Naan Flat Bread
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 8 ounces, weight Neufchatel Cheese, Room Temperature (or Cream Cheese)
  • 3 Tablespoons Fresh Chopped Dill, Divided
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 whole Lemon, Zested, Divided Use
  • 8 ounces, weight Smoked Salmon
  • ½ cups Smoked Cheddar Or Mozzarella Cheese, Grated
  • ½ cups Red Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon Capers, Drained And Rinsed

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Place naan bread on a baking sheet. In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, garlic, Neufchatel cheese, 2 tablespoons chopped dill, black pepper, the lemon juice and half the lemon zest. Mix well. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each piece of naan. Arrange salmon over pizza. Top with red onion, smoked cheese, remaining dill and lemon zest, and top with capers. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until edges of crust are crisp and cheese is melted.

Very tasty! I made my own multi-grain pizza crust rather than using naan bread.

The cheese spread was pretty good but I think it could use more seasoning like red pepper flakes maybe?

This was great!! As per the above review, I did cut down on the lemon juice and zest and found it to be the perfect amount. Thanks for sharing!

This was PHENOMENAL!!!! I made this for my boyfriend and I. I used tortillas (whole wheat) and whipped, light cream cheese. I basically just winged it with the toppings and it turned out amazing! This would be a fantastic appetizer, but we had it for supper!

This was really, really good. But I would suggest cutting the lemon zest and juice in half. It was a little too tangy for me and my husband. The second time I made it I reduced the lemon ingredients by half and it was much better.
