Description

Tangy thousand island dressing, gooey cheese, and crispy bacon make this pizza irresistible. Your favorite sandwich in pizza form!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 2-¼ cups Flour
  • ¼ ounces, weight Pizza Yeast
  • 1-½ teaspoon Sugar
  • ¾ teaspoons Salt
  • ⅔ cups Warm Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • FOR THE TOPPINGS:
  • 1 pound Beef
  • ⅔ cups Thousand Island Dressing
  • 3 cups Colby Jack Cheese
  • 10 strips Bacon
  • 3 cups Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 cup Sliced Pickles

Preparation

For the crust:
Preheat oven to 450ºF.

In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt together. Add warm water and oil. Mix for 1–2 minutes.

Knead on a floured surface with greased hands for 4–6 minutes or until dough no longer sticks to your fingers. Press or roll into 2 large circles.

For the toppings:
In a large skillet, cook beef until browned. Drain fat if needed.

Evenly spread Thousand Island dressing over pizza crust. Top with cheese, bacon, and beef. Bake for 14–16 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and crust is starting to brown.

Serve with shredded lettuce and pickles.
