Marinated veggie salad. This is an old family recipe, always served at picnics because it doesn’t spoil quickly.
Dressing: In a sauce pan mix together oil, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and water. Boil one minute and then cool.
Salad: Throw all the veggies together in a bowl, mix in the cooled dressing and serve. Keeps several days in the refrigerator.
Fits perfectly in a 3# margarine tub for a picnic.
