Creamy homemade coleslaw dressing, and also amounts to feed about 50 people.
In a saucepan, beat the egg lightly. Whisk in the water, cream, sugars, flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Cool completely, then stir in the mayonnaise and dill. Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
To prepare a salad, mix the salad ingredients together with the dressing in a very large bowl. Serves 40-50 people.
