Description

A tasty twist on a plain old turkey burger, with ginger, garlic, mint, cilantro and jalapeno.

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds Ground Turkey
  • ¼ cups Chopped Mint
  • 4 whole Green Onions, Sliced
  • ½ cups Chopped Cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Diced Jalapeno
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Fresh Ginger, Minced Or Crushed
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • ¼ cups Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 slice Sandwich Bread, Ripped Up Into Small Pieces
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced

Preparation

Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and mash together with your clean hands.

Form patties. (The recipe will yield 2 big patties or 2 regular-sized patties plus 1 small kid-sized patty.) The patties will be very wet. I usually make a ball with the meat then toss it down onto a piece of parchment paper to flatten out, then do patty formation.

Cook in a frying pan (or a grill pan) at a medium heat until cooked through. A good tip is to wait to flip until you see that the sides are starting to look done.

I served these over wild rice (no bun) with sliced avocado and Sriracha sauce on top.
