Excellent as a veggie dip! I used the ingredients through the fresh dill. Since I wanted it for a dip, not dressing, I only added about 1T of half and half to not make it too thin. Also, I used scallions instead of chives, added about 1t of Worcestershire and 1t white vinegar, and lots of dried dill because we love dill.

This was pretty good. I think I will use more sour cream next time and less mayonnaise.

I don’t think many Australians really know or appreciate ranch dressing. I love it, and I love this recipe. Turns any leftover salad items into a meal, add a hard boiled, and some croutons, and it’s a gorgeous dish. Thank you Ree!

This is a great recipe. I really like how highly adaptable it is; you can really play around with the flavors. I used 1/2 cup regular milk, and I found the dressing a little too thin; it didn’t stick to the lettuce. Next time I’ll use less milk or buttermilk.

I was in a jam & really needed it but couldn’t get to the store – this turned out fabulous! I played around with the additions & it made all the difference. Thanks for posting this!

After making this dressing, I am officially a homemade dressing convert! It was soooo good. I used 3 cloves of garlic and even though you warned against it, my husband and I loved the heat! This was incredible dressing and I’ll definitely be making it again and again.
I posted it on my cooking blog:

This recipe should come with a ****WARNING**** do not attempt unless your willing to give up the bottle. This is highly addictive.

I am known as the “Ranch Queen” by my family; as in ‘everything tastes better with Ranch!’
I will definitely be making this tonight (and keep it hidden in the fridge)!

Oh my gosh , made this the other night and it is wonderful. The longer it sits the more the flavors meld. It did take some fussing to get the spices/flavors like I wanted but I wrote them down so next time I can just go right that those amounts.
So nice having a dressing/dip that isn’t full of ingredients that I cannot pronounce.

I can’t wait to try it – I am so not liking the latest bottle of “Light Ranch” that I got,
