I kicked it up a notch.
Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil, add macaroni and cook 8 – 10 minutes or til tender. Drain well and set aside to cool.
In a large bowl stir together eggs, onion, celery, red pepper and relish.
In a small bowl stir together salad dressing, mustard, white sugar, vinegar, salt and celery seed, and optional is hot pepper sauce to taste. A dash or two.
Pour dressing over vegetables, stir in macaroni. Cover and chill for at least an hour.
You can add any of your favorite vegetable, including frozen peas, green onions. I just start hauling stuff out of the crisper and start chopping and adding. Make it yours, make your skirt fly up.

Wonderful! This tastes just like my husband’s grandmother’s – she grew up near amish country in Ohio! Just what I was looking for – I almost don’t want to take it to the church picnic & just enjoy it ourselves.

I made this last night as a side to our BBQ’d steak. I didn’t add the onion, celery or egg as my husband doesn’t like, and added some diced jalapeno havarti I had in the fridge. It was delish! I originally thought it was going to be too saucy, but after it sat for a few hours, it was perfect.
Thanks for sharing!
