Cook orzo according to directions on box. Drain pasta and set aside to cool.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add shrimp. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes or until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Drain and set aside to cool. Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Trim off the ends of the asparagus and cut the spears into bite size pieces. Put them into the boiling water. Blanch them for 2 minutes then place asparagus in a bowl of ice water.
Peel and devein shrimp. Cut mozzarella into chunks. Combine ingredients through basil in a large serving bowl.
To make dressing, whisk to combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, and salt and pepper in a medium sized bowl. Stir dressing into pasta and mix well. Refrigerate and serve cold.
