This is a terrific addition to an Indian summer barbecue!
In a large bowl, combine the yogurt with the ginger, onion, garlic, lemon juice, dry mustard, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Use a small, sharp knife and make shallow 1-inch slashes in the chicken. Add the chicken to the marinade and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Preheat grill. Remove the chicken from the marinade, leaving a thin layer of marinade on the legs. Grill the chicken over medium heat, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through, 20-30 minutes.
