Description

Easy homemade Asian inspired sticky turkey meatballs, tossed in a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. Serve over steamed rice topped with mixed veggies. So dang good!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • 1  Onion, Chopped
  • 1  Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1 head Broccoli Cut Into Florets
  • Oil, For Drizzling
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • Rice To Serve (I Like Jasmine)
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • ¼ cups Chicken Broth
  • ¼ cups Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Sriracha
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Season ground turkey with a bit of salt and pepper and roll into tablespoon-size balls (recipe make 15 to 20 meatballs). Place them on one side of the prepared baking sheet.

Add onion, bell pepper, and broccoli to the other side of the baking sheet and toss with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper (you may need to use a second baking sheet). Transfer to the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan. Set over medium heat and bring sauce to a simmer. Simmer 5–8 minutes, until sauce thickens.

Pour about half the sauce over the meatballs, tossing to combine. Return to the oven for 3 minutes.

Serve the meatballs and sauce over bowls of rice or cauliflower rice.
