Description

Finally, I have the perfect alfredo sauce! With only 4 ingredients, it is just the simple sauce your pasta dish needs.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 clove Garlic (fresh Pressed Is Best)
  • 1 pint Heavy Cream
  • 1-½ cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 pinch Pepper (optional)

Preparation

In a 2-quart saucepan, melt your butter over medium heat. When it’s about halfway melted, add your garlic. When completely melted, stir in your cream. Whisk occasionally as it heats to blend the cream and butter. When it’s just about to simmer, add 1/2 cup of the shredded parmesan, whisking until melted (about 3 minutes). Be sure to keep whisking so the cheese doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Repeat with the remaining parmesan, adding half a cup at a time. Viola! Your alfredo sauce is complete. Add a pinch of pepper if you wish and serve over your favorite pasta.

Thanks for posting! Can’t wait to try. I like simple sauces – no need to complicate! Thanks. :)

I, too, have a recipe I use with cream cheese but this one was just as good. I added oregano for a bit of extra flavor but it was great on its own as well.

This is the easiest Alfredo recipe I have ever made. It seriously took less than 10 minutes to make. I poured it over roasted cauliflower and it was so yummy!!

I have always made a more complicated alfredo with cream cheese, but this is simpler and a much more flavorful alfredo. Thank you!
