Description

For comfort food–it doesn’t get more comforting than mac and cheese!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Macaroni Noodles
  • 1 pound Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 3 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 1-½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Melted

Preparation

Boil noodles according to package instructions. Then drain them.

Spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. (I like to use my misto — but any cooking spray will do.)

Spread noodles evenly into the baking dish.

Mix all other ingredients together and pour over noodles—being sure to spread evenly.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-45 minutes.

I wanted to try this because I was looking for a easy, baked mac and cheese. This really hit the spot! This actually was the easiest baked mac and cheese I have ever made. It had the cheesy crust that I was seeking and it was very moist. I added a caramelized onion, used cavatappi, and shredded some whole milk fresh mozzarella in addition to the pound of store-bought shredded cheese mix. Good go-to recipe to use when you want baked mac and cheese without all the work.

This was a very easy, and very tasty macaroni and cheese. The only thing different that I did was add several thin slices of butter on top of the mixture before I baked it. YUMMY!
