Description

Our family’s new favorite dinner: Greek pizza. It’s easy enough for a weeknight and special enough for entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pizza Dough, (14-16 Ounces)
  • Olive Oil
  • Corn Meal
  • 5 ounces, weight Feta Cheese, Crumbled
  • 1 cup Halved Grape Tomotoes
  • ¼ whole Red Onion, Sliced
  • 12 whole Pitted Kalamata Olives, Halved
  • ¾ teaspoons Cavender's Greek Seasoning
  • 2 cups Baby Spinach, Torn

Preparation

Follow the instructions for the pizza dough for thawing and rising as needed.

Lightly coat a pizza stone with olive oil and sprinkle with a bit of corn meal to prevent sticking. Place on the oven rack in the lowest position possible.

Stretch and press the dough into a circle on the pizza stone.

Top with feta, tomatoes, onions, olives and seasoning. Place the pizza stone on the bottom rack and turn the oven to 450ºF.

Bake for 14-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and top with a couple of handfuls of torn baby spinach.

My hubby & I love to make Greek pizza! Try adding a little ground lamb next time as well – delicious!

Do you preheat the oven to 450 …. or turn it on as you put the pizza in the oven as the recipe states?

I really liked this, but my fiance thought it was too plain. My only complaint is that the tomatoes don’t stay on very well…I’d probably roast then mash them next time!
