My family enjoyed this and I will probably make it again. I will say that the flavor heavily depends on the kind of BBQ sauce that is used. I had some that was slightly sweet on hand, and it was good. Though, next time I think I’ll try it with a more savory sauce. Perhaps I’ll also add some chopped green chiles or jalapenos next time. This is a great base recipe I think. I’ll change it up a bit the next time I make it – because it’s super simple, easy, kid friendly and I almost always have the ingredients in the pantry/freezer. I was thinking about adding more cheddar and swapping the sour cream for cream cheese next time to give the sauce more oomph…it was just a wee bit bland for us as is. But I’m glad to have the idea from which to build!

My husband would pry give it 4 or 5 stars, but it just wasn’t WOW for me. But he LOVED it, said he could eat just the pasta in the sauce without the chicken. It is def different, I will say that. It should be on menus in BBQ restaurants. I made no changes, except I halved it and it was more than enough for the two of us, with leftovers for tmrw.
I’ll make it again because he liked it so much, and I’ll add more cheddar next time.

This is the most interesting looking recipe, looks super tasty but like like nothing I have ever seen! I am excited to try it out! Thanks for sharing!
