This is not your usual pasta salad. This is Karen’s amazing pasta salad. With a slightly sweet flavor, it’s sure to be a favorite. Karen made it for several of our get-togethers and we all LOVED it!
Cook the pasta according to the pasta directions.
While the pasta is cooking, chop the onion, broccoli and bacon. In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sugar (I usually use just a smidge less than the 3/4 cup, add to taste), and the vinegar and stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well blended.
When the pasta is finished, drain the pasta and add with the broccoli, red onion and bacon to the mayonnaise mixture. Last, throw in the shredded cheddar, mix it up and chill!
Serve chilled.

I made this for a family cookout in October, and was asked to bring it to Thanksgiving because it was SO good!
