My friend, Tony, has a sister named Pat who would always bring this dish to family functions. No one knew the recipe. Tony tried to duplicate it, but it was never the same. Last month Pat made this salad for me, and I asked her for the recipe. I didn’t think she’d really give it to me! I asked her why she gave the recipe to me when Tony still didn’t have it. She said, “He never asked!” I think you’ll love these simple flavors.
Cook pasta according to package directions. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Drain. To 1/2 the HOT pasta, add celery, onion, Old Bay, garlic powder and Accent. To the other half, add the shrimp and mayo. Allow to sit for awhile. Combine all ingredients together & mix well. Adjust seasonings to your taste. Refrigerate overnight. You may need to add more mayonnaise in the morning as the hot pasta tends to absorb some of it.
