This was a total hit – needed something simple to take to two pot lucks in one day. This was the favorite dish at both meals! It is now my quick go to for pot lucks.

I made this for the first time last night for a crowd because it sounded easy to make and unique. It was a hit with everyone and I’ve been asked by several for the recipe. Thanks for sharing – this recipe is definitely a keeper!

Love love love this! I made it this weekend as a side dish to chili cheese dogs. I used blanched pea pods in place of frozen peas. It’s very very good and a great way to add some veggies to something like hot dogs.
So easy to through together! This is a keeper!

To answer my own question – I was able to save up broccoli stalks for several weeks (we eat a lot of broccoli) and then after peeling the rough spots off, I ran them thru the food processor (a good mandleine would work too – mine is chintzy but worked ok). I added some carrots and I suppose good ole’ cabbage would work too. Then I blotted it with paper towels to get the extra water out – and it worked great. It takes a lot of stalks to equal the 12 oz the recipe calls for. So I just keep peanuts and poppyseed dressing around, and a bag of peas in the freezer -and stir it up with the amounts to taste.

WE love this. It is so easy and yummy. Positive reviews from picky eater 25-year old stepson, too.
I’d like to experiment with shredding my own broccoli slaw. Any recommendations.

This is my new favorite salad! Thanks so much for posting it. It goes well with beef, pork, or chicken. My family likes it with some crumbled bacon added. I like it either way.
