This isn’t your usual mayo-laden salad. My mom loves this salad so much, she calls it her addiction and I’m sure once you try it, you’ll agree.
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cool water. Add Accent, seasoned salt, lemon juice and oil to pasta. Stir and cover. Place in the refrigerator overnight.
The next day, add celery, onion, olives, bell pepper and pimentos to the pasta. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of real mayonnaise and mix well. Add more or less mayo to taste. Don’t use Miracle Whip. It won’t taste the same or as good. You don’t want too much mayo, just enough to hold everything together.
This dish gets better as it sits. It will keep in the fridge for about one week.

I want to make this, but I’m freaking out a little bit about the huge amount of seasoning salt and accent. Will you reassure me that the amount is right?

You can find it in the spices section of the grocery store.

Lookks great! Wondering if I could cut down on the oil and use low fat mayo? Doing Weight Watchers and this looks delish!
