This is a favorite salad for church potlucks or family picnics. I always get requests to bring it.
In a large bowl, add the bags of broccoli florets. (If you want to use unpackaged broccoli, you will need about 8 cups.) Chop broccoli into smaller pieces. Chop onion and add to the broccoli. Add the bacon bits, raisins and sunflower seeds.
In a separate bowl, mix Miracle Whip salad dressing, sugar and vinegar. Whisk until smooth.
Pour dressing over broccoli mixture, stirring until ingredients are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for several hours before serving. Serves 10-12.

Made this for supper tonight, and it was a big hit. It’s just like I remember from church pot luck dinners as a kid. I left out the onion because I don’t like it raw. Thanks for a great recipe and trip down memory lane!

This recipe was a big hit at the barbeque I took it to, AND my husband likes it and he’s not a raw broccoli fan. Super easy to make! However, be warned that it does not keep well past the first day or so…which is okay, really, because it’s good enough to disappear quickly.
