A simple but delicious start to a steak and potatoes kind of meal.
Cook the bacon till crispy, set on paper towels to drain. When cool, crumble the bacon into bits. Cut apple into matchstick-sized pieces.
While the bacon is cooking, prep the salad. Remove the outermost leaves of lettuce, then cut the lettuce in half. Cut each half again so you have four quarters or wedges. Place each wedge on its own plate.
Top each wedge with at least a 1/2 cup of gorgonzola dressing (I have a recipe for homemade dressing under Simple Gorgonzola Dressing in my recipe box) then add apple slices and bacon bits.
