Description

Coleslaw with creamy poppyseed dressing.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SLAW:
  • ½ heads Red Cabbage, Small
  • ½ heads Green Cabbage, Small
  • 2 whole Green Apples, Granny Smith
  • 1 bunch Radishes
  • 2 sticks Carrots
  • _____
  • FOR THE DRESSING:
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Dry Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ⅔ cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Poppyseed
  • 1 cup Canola Oil

Preparation

1. Put all dressing ingredients except oil in blender. Blend, then add oil slowly while the blender runs. Note: This makes enough dressing to cover 2 coleslaw recipes.

2. To make coleslaw, shred the cabbages, apples, radishes and carrots; mix them together. Add the amount of poppyseed dressing to your taste and mix.

You’re right Patty any time you can cut back on the oil and sugar…that’s a good thing. And it doesn’t affect the recipe to do so….just lessens the amount of dressing you come out with. Glad you liked it!

This is really good! And, if you’re being diet-conscious, you can cut the sugar by about half and the oil down to 1/2 c. and it still tastes great!

Really liked this! I did cut back on the sugar and WAY back on the oil, seeing as I’m on a perpetual diet – but this was a great coleslaw – really good taste. Thank you!
