Description

These ribs are sticky and messy and worth every bite.

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds Pork Ribs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • ½ cups Each, White Sugar And Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Crushed OR 1 1/2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper (Optional)

Preparation

In a roasting pan, place the ribs sprinkled with salt and pepper. Add up to 2 cups of water so the ribs will not dry out while baking. Cover and bake at 300ºF for 2-3 hours until tender.

Mix together all the sauce ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Remove ribs from the oven and transfer to a cookie sheet in a single layer. Spread the sauce on all sides of the ribs. Increase oven heat to 400ºF and bake for 25-30 minutes, watching closely to make sure they don’t burn. If you didn’t use all the sauce to cover the ribs, baste the top of the ribs with sauce another time, or serve the BBQ sauce on the side.
