It does sound amazing, but I didn’t think the pay off was worth it. I might try it again with a spicier marinade. The bacon totally killed the flavor of the marinade and overall, it was a bit too sweet.

This was simple and delicious. I made it for my folks for dinner after they returned from a trip and it was a great treat!

I thought this was really good, and my boyfriend enjoyed it, too. (He’s usually red meat man!)
I’ll definitely make it again.

this is actually incredible. my brother ate 2. I make it whenever I have lots of boys to please… for my brothers or my husband when he invites his law school study group over for dinner unexpectedly…

Actually, my entire family loved this chicken. My daughter grabbed my printed recipe and went home and made it the next weekend for her in-laws. It is a huge hit. Super simple!!

I made this last week. It was a hit! I forgot the cheese at the store (i do that a lot!). It wasn’t overly greasy at all.
I did have trouble cooking the thick bacon like i wanted. It wasn’t super crispy. I’d probably get thin sliced next time or cut the thick slices into little bacon chunks.

I made this for a house full along with your twice baked potatoes and it has been asked for ever since. Thanks for the great recipe, it’s a big hit!

I make something similar – less greasy. I use a bbq dry rub for the marinade. I then mop with bbq sauce and place on a hot grill. When you flip the chicken, top with the bacon and extra sharp cheddar cheese. Delicious!
