Description

Pizza in nacho form. Bonus: they’re actually, dare I say, a bit healthy for you!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Pita Round (with Pockets), Cut In 8 Pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • ¼ whole Green Pepper, Chopped
  • ¼ whole Small Onion, Chopped
  • ¼ cups Marinara Sauce
  • 8 whole Turkey Pepperoni, Quartered
  • 3 teaspoons Ricotta Cheese
  • ¼ cups Mozzarella Cheese, Grated
  • 2 teaspoons Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ teaspoons Pizza Seasoning (or Italian Seasoning Works As Well)

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. Place the sliced pita bread on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
3. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add pepper and onion. Cook until onion is translucent and pepper is soft, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Arrange pitas on an oven safe plate. Top with the marinara, pepperoni, and the pepper and onion. Dollop the ricotta cheese on the pizza, and top with the grated mozzarella and parmesan. Sprinkle on the pizza seasoning.
5. Bake until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
