Description

A simply tasty lunch or dinner that’s worth the wait!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 10 whole Chicken Tenders, Frozen Or Thawed
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons BBQ Dry Rub Or Seasoning
  • ¼ cups BBQ Sauce
  • 3 teaspoons Hot Sauce
  • 6 whole French Rolls Or Hamburger Buns
  • 1 cup Green Cabbage, Shredded
  • Your Favorite Cheese, To Serve (optional)

Preparation

Drizzle olive oil on the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the frozen chicken and onion on the bottom. Sprinkle the BBQ dry rub seasoning, the BBQ sauce and hot sauce over the chicken and onion.

Cook on high heat for 3-4 hours.

When the chicken is done cooking, shred the chicken by using two forks and add back into the sauce in the slow cooker.

Toast your buns under the broiler for a minute or two, but be careful to watch them; they quickly turn from a nice golden brown to sad charred black.

Build each sandwich with a little more BBQ sauce, a few heaping spoonfuls of shredded BBQ chicken, cabbage, and even some of your favorite cheese would be a great addition.

I didn’t feel like this actually had that much flavor and there just simply wasn’t enough bbq sauce although I kept adding it.
