Fresh, fruity, sweet, and savory all combine to make this a salad that won’t sit on your table long!

Chicken Salad with Peas and Herb Mustard Vinaigrette

by multiplydelicious and filed in Meat Salads, Salads

I like chicken salad and I especially like my mom’s, but it is loaded with mayonnaise, which I don’t like! I’ve tried several recipes in the past and finally came up with my own healthy version. I find it super yummy! What’s even better, it’s got veggies in it, and no mayonnaise! I’ve made this chicken salad the past two weeks and I still can’t get enough of it.

Easy Peas n’ Cheese

by farmkat and filed in Salads

Wonderful no-cook summer salad. Disappears at potlucks. Not quite vegetarian, as it does have bacon, but if you HAVE to, you could leave it out.

Oriental Chicken Salad with Sesame Dressing

by farmkat and filed in Main Dish Salads, Salads

My version of a popular salad at a local cafe. Chow mein noodles with mandarin oranges and peanuts. This is one of those recipes that can easily be changed to suit your taste. Note that some of the ingredient measurements can vary.

Silver Lake Coleslaw

by suzanne999 and filed in Green Salads, Salads

My husband’s step-father’s sister made this for one of our communal meals at Silver Lake, Michigan two summers past. I usually do not like the premade Kraft coleslaw dressing, but the addition of peanuts and cilantro completely changed the flavor and texture of this simple dish!

Broccoli and Bacon Salad

by tallyfoodie and filed in Green Salads, Salads

This is my go-to side dish for get-togethers and pot luck luncheons. It’s a quick and easy salad that’s slightly sweet, slightly crunchy and all delicious!

Minted Watermelon Salad with a Kick!

by acher and filed in Fruit Salads, Salads

This is a great watermelon salad with a secret weapon: hot peppers! The spice of the peppers plays well with the sweetness of the watermelon and jicama and the freshness of the mint.

Oriental Coleslaw with Peanuts

An easy side dish that is one of my most requested recipes from my summer menus. You can add 2 cups of chopped chicken to serves as a main course. It is delicious!

She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!

Meet Heather

In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
