Description

This is a jello mold recipe from my grandmother. I serve it at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it is so simple to make it’s also great for any dinner or get together. It has a deep red color, and for those you don’t like cranberry sauce it’s a great replacement.

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Box Strawberry Jello
  • 1 1/2 Cups Of Boiling Water
  • 2 (10 Ounce) Containers Of Raspberries In Juice
  • 2 Cups Of Applesauce

Preparation

Mix boiling water with Jello until well mixed.

Add raspberries with the juice. Stir in the applesauce.

Pour into Jello mold or bowl. Let set overnight.

Our family enjoys something very similar every year at Thanksgiving – with an added sweetened sour cream topping. It’s a great change from the too-tart cranberry sauce and my kids beg for it long after the holidays.

This sounds ooh so good. A good way to get the kids to eat something good for them, and enjoy it at the same time. Thanks for the recipe. Everyone likes a little wiggle.

Great recipe! I added a little sugar because I used homemade canned applesauce that was not sweetened. I also piped on some cool whip in a pastry bag with a fun tip that made it extra cute!
