Description

Bursting with sesame flavor and background hints of spice and zip.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 3 Tablespoons Toasted Sesame Oil (note: The Brown Kind, Not The Clear Yellow)
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil (or Other Mild Flavor Oil)
  • 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
  • ⅛ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 pinch Cayenne
  • ½ teaspoons Sesame Seeds (optional)

Preparation

Shake all ingredients together in a small jar with a lid.

You can also vigorously beat vinegar and oils together in a small bowl with a whisk or fork. Once an emulsion forms, add the other ingredients and beat again.

Make sure to taste before dressing your salad and adjust vinegar/oil ratios to your liking.

I tried this recipe on a whim with a Korean pork tenderloin I made and it was delicious! My husband likes things to be spicy, so I added a little more cayenne. It was a nice tangy dressing. I only made a half batch because it was just the two of us, and there was more than plenty at the bottom of the bowl.
