These candied pecans are deliciously sweet! They’re super versatile and perfect for topping any salad or ice cream. Enjoy!
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the microwave. Do this in 10- to 15-second increments so butter doesn’t explode in your microwave!
Put pecans, melted butter, brown sugar, and sea salt in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir to coat.
Heat remaining butter in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Cook pecans for about 2–4 minutes by stirring them continuously until they are caramelized. The caramelization process should not take long at all. The brown sugar and butter will begin thickening at the bottom of the pan after a couple of minutes. When this starts to happen, take the pecans off of the burner and set aside.
Take the pecans out of the pan and place them into a large mixing bowl. Set this bowl aside and let them cool for about an hour or so.
