Description

I have given up store-bought salad dressing because homemade is so easy and tastes great!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Buttermilk
  • 2 Tablespoons Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoons Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped Fresh Chives
  • ½ teaspoons Fresh Thyme Leaves
  • ½ teaspoons Chopped Italian Parsley Leaves
  • ¼ teaspoons Onion Powder
  • Pinch Of Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • Fresh Ground Pepper, to taste

Preparation

In a small bowl or pint jar, stir together all ingredients until well combined.

Note: The flavor improves if refrigerated overnight.

The dressing will last in the fridge for as long as the sour cream and/or buttermilk are in date. You just need to stir it before you use it. I like the dressing when it is fresh, but I think it actually tastes even better after it sets at least a day.

This looks great! I’m off the bottle stuff but have been using ranch seasoning packets, I guess this is the next step!

Easy and tasty–it can’t get any better than that! My kids are not sour cream ranch lovers so they have requested I try it with more mayo in place of the sour cream, so I am making a batch of that for them later. Also, the “green bits” might get a quick pulse in the food processer along with everything else. I also like the small portion, it’s just enough for us to use up without any of it going bad. Thanks for sharing!
