It’s sweet.
Dissolve the jello in 4 cups boiling water. Add the ice and stir to cool slightly. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan and let set 4 hours or overnight.
When the jello is set, cut it into 3/4″ squares. Dissolve the gelatin by sprinkling it over 1 tablespoon cold water, then adding the remaining 1 tablespoon hot water and stirring to dissolve. Add to the cream and whip until stiff. Add the icing sugar.
Gently mix the cubed jello and whipped cream together. The gelatin in the whipped cream should prevent it from getting runny. That makes it a good salad to bring to potlucks or serve to a crowd.
Use other flavors of jello for different colors of broken glass.
