Description

This is one of those recipes that has been around a long time. You can tell by the ingredients and preparation technique. It was a favorite in my mom’s kitchen and now my family loves it!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Elbow Macaroni
  • 4 pieces Pork Loin Or Rib Chops
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • ¼ cups Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Pepper, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Water
  • ½ cups Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 1 can Cream Style Corn (14 Oz)

Preparation

Cook macaroni to al dente and drain. Set aside.

Preheat oven to 350.

Season chops with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, brown chops over medium high heat. Remove from skillet and set aside – tent with foil.

Add onions and green peppers to skillet and brown lightly.

Stir in flour, sugar, water, chili sauce and vinegar stirring until thickened.

Mix in cooked macaroni and cream corn.

Pour into 2 quart casserole dish and arrange browned chops on top.

Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 45 – 50 minutes or until chops are tender.

Not sure if I messed something up but this dish smelled disgusting so I threw it away. Maybe I used the wrong kind of chili sauce, not sure.
