Description

This delicious pasta carbonara recipe is sure to be a hit with everyone!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Any Type Of Pasta, 16 Ounce Box
  • 8 slices Thick Cut Bacon
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • ¾ cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • ¾ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper And Salt, Or To Taste
  • ½ whole Yellow Onion
  • ¼ cups Frozen Peas
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic

Preparation

First, cook your pasta according to package instructions. While cooking pasta, cut the bacon into small pieces. Cook on medium heat in a skillet until crisped to your liking.

While your bacon is cooking, you can make the cream sauce. Add eggs, whipping cream and Parmesan into a bowl. Whisk together. Add salt and pepper. I used about 1/4 teaspoon of each. You can always add more when you are done cooking and adding everything together!

When your bacon is finished cooking, remove it from the skillet onto a paper towel. Don’t wash your pan after you remove the bacon. You want the grease to use when cooking the onions, peas and garlic mixture.

When your pasta is finished cooking, drain and set aside.

Now, make the vegetable mixture. Dice the yellow onion into small pieces. Add onion, frozen peas, and minced garlic into the pan with the bacon grease. Cook over medium low heat until vegetables are cooked through and tender.

When your vegetables are finished cooking, add the pasta to the mixture and stir to combine and heat everything. Slowly pour the cream mixture over the pasta while stirring. Cook until the sauce is thickened and clinging to the pasta then add the bacon pieces. Mix together and serve!
