Hi Ron! Generally I add oats for the health benefits, and it also stretches your meat a little bit. You could easily leave it out and add more breadcrumbs.

mommahen, can you pleas tell me what the oats’ purpose is, since you already have breadcrumbs. Have never used oats except for cookies. Are there any variations to this recipe or is it great as is? I want to make this for my two boys. Ron in Dallas

Delicious! This will easily be put into my box of go-to meals. Very simple to make and the meatloaf was moist.

This was a big hit at our house, including 4-year-old and 6-year-old. I made the meatloaf in muffin tins instead and cooked for 15-20 minutes at 450, and it came out great that way too.

I made this for dinner last night and it was delicious! Very easy and quick to put together since I have most of these ingredients on hand. While the meatloaf was baking, I made cheddar mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus…YUM! The only changes that I made was that I added more Worcestershire sauce to the glaze because it was a little too sweet for me. I’ll add less brown sugar next time.

This was a yummy meatloaf! I added more cajun seasoning and less brown sugar. It was delicious and I will definitely make it again! (Oh, and I used ground beef instead of ground turkey.) Thanks for sharing!

I don’t make meatloaf often but I occasionally make turkey patties for my boys so I figured I’d try this out. One son gave it a “thumbs up” as soon as it went in his mouth, which is the first time I’ve ever seen that happen! I really liked it too. It was moist, had a good flavor (the sauce is tasty too), but what I really liked was how simple it was and how I always have those ingredients on hand so I could easily make it anytime. I served it with sweet potato fries. Yummy meal!
