Description

Juicy turkey burgers stuffed with feta and served on a toasted bun with chipotle lime mayo.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BURGERS:
  • 1-¼ pound Ground Turkey, 87/13
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¾ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • ⅓ cups Feta, Crumbled
  • Olive Oil, For Skillet
  • 4  Onion Rolls, Toasted
  • FOR THE CHIPOTLE LIME MAYO:
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Chipotle Puree, See Note
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper
  • ½ whole Lime, Juiced

Preparation

In a large bowl mix turkey, Worcestershire sauce, milk, garlic powder, salt and pepper with a fork until just blended. Mix in feta and form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties. Drizzle patties with a bit of olive oil and set aside while you heat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat. Once hot add the burgers and cook until cooked through, 4-5 minutes per side.

Cut rolls in half and drizzle with olive oil; brown in a skillet over medium heat.

Serve burgers on rolls with chipotle spread, a slice of onion and dill pickle slices, if desired. I actually like to add a little coarse grain mustard and ketchup on the bottom roll.

For the chipotle mayo, combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Note: I puree a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and store in the refrigerator to use in various sauces and recipes.
