Description

Kick up your turkey burgers a notch with grilled pineapple, goat cheese and basil mayo. And it all comes together in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Fresh Pineapple
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey
  • ¼ cups Bread Crumbs
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Herbs De Provence
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • ⅓ cups Light Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Basil, Chopped
  • 4 whole Hamburger Buns
  • 4 ounces, fluid Goat Cheese
  • 1 cup Spring Mix Lettuce (optional)

Preparation

Heat a grill pan on medium-high heat. Once the pan is really hot, add the pineapple slices and grill for about 2 minutes per side. When done remove the pineapple from the pan but keep the pan over medium heat.

Combine the ground turkey, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, Dijon mustard, dried herbs, and salt and pepper. Divide mixture into 4 evenly sized patties.

Put burgers on the hot grill pan. Grill burgers over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side, or until done. Remove from grill and turn off heat.

In a small bowl stir together mayo and basil.

To assemble burgers, spread goat cheese on one side of bun and basil mayo on the other side. Add turkey patty, pineapple and spring mix (if using).
