Description

This is a lean meatloaf recipe that is delicious. My family eats a lot of game meat, so it is good to find a nice recipe to use it in. I have made it several times and substituted different ingredients in each time. The result is always great.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ cups Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey (Substitute Ground Goat)
  • ½ pounds Ground Goat (If You Do Not Have Goat, Substitute In Turkey)
  • ½ cups Cracker Crumbs (I Used Ritz)
  • 2  Eggs (you Can Substitute 1/2 Cup Egg Beaters)
  • 1 cup Catsup, Divided
  • 3 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
2. Melt butter in skillet.
3. Stir fry the onion and garlic in the melted butter for about 5 minutes or until they are cooked.
4. Put the onion and garlic in a large mixing bowl.
5. Add the ground turkey and goat, cracker crumbs, eggs, 1/2 cup of the catsup, and the Worcestershire sauce and mix well.
6. Add the salt and pepper to the mixture.
7. Spray an 8×4-inch baking pan with Pam or cooking spray.
8. Press the meatloaf into the pan and spread the remaining catsup on the top.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes.
10. Remove from the oven and let stand for a couple of minutes before serving.
11. Enjoy!
