Description

Spaghetti with fresh tomatoes and basil.

Ingredients

  • 3 whole Tomatoes
  • ½ cloves Large Garlic Clove
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Basil, Chopped
  • ½ cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 dash Garlic Powder, If Desired
  • ½ boxes Spaghetti Noodles (16 Oz. Box)
  • Fresh Basil, For Garnish (optional)

Preparation

1. Core then dice the tomatoes. You’ll want them to be about 1/2 an inch square.
2. Take the half clove of garlic and use it to rub around the inside of a serving bowl. You want to do this to add flavor to the tomato basil sauce. Then mince the garlic and put it into the bowl. Add to the same bowl the tomatoes, chopped basil, shredded mozzarella cheese, olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste. I also added a sprinkle of garlic powder. Mix until the tomatoes are coated with the olive oil and seasonings. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes so that the tomatoes soak up the liquid.
3. In the meantime, cook the spaghetti per box instructions, to al dente. When it’s done put it into a colander, rinse and drain.
4. Mix the tomato basil sauce with the drained spaghetti, top with a sprinkle of basil, and enjoy with your favorite garlic bread!
