Description

A toasted rye roll cuddles this terrific sandwich like a big comfortable hug!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole (8 Oz. Size) Rounded Fresh Sirloin Ground Beef Hamburger Patties (I Have My Meat Market Form These Patties For Me)
  • 1 Tablespoon Montreal Grill Seasoning
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Melted Butter Softened, For Rye Rolls
  • 2 whole Rye (Round Kaiser) Roll, Toasted
  • 4 slices Hickory Smoked Bacon, Fried Crisp
  • 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise, To Serve
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup, To Serve
  • 2 slices (1/4 Inch Thick) White Onion
  • 2 slices Provolone Cheese

Preparation

Note: If forming your own hamburger patties (purchase 90/10 fat to meat ratio), use sirloin ground beef and form large 8-ounce patties.

Round out sirloin hamburger patties. Season both sides of each patty with grill seasoning and salt and pepper. Place on grill or griddle pan on medium high heat. Cook 7-8 minutes each side (depending on your cooking preference, times may vary). Add softened butter to rye (Kaiser) rolls, and toast lightly on the grill.

In a small frying pan, crisp up bacon slices and place on paper towels to absorb excess fat.

In a small bowl, add mayonnaise and ketchup and stir together. Spread on the top half of each rye roll. Add grilled hamburger to the bottom toasted bun, then add a raw slice of white onion on top of grilled hamburger. Add provolone cheese, bacon slices, then cover with the top bun. Cut sandwich in half and serve with dill pickles and some chips, if you like.

Enjoy this delicious burger! Comfort food at its finest.
