Description

This is such a simple and delicious recipe. It’s important to use the ingredients specified. I’ve tried other bbq sauces, but the results were not equally as delicious. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Chuck Roast
  • Salt, Pepper And Garlic Powder, To Taste
  • 1 bottle Kraft Brand Sweet And Spicy Chipotle BBQ Sauce
  • 1 can Beer (12oz.)
  • 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray's Brand Honey BBQ Sauce

Preparation

Spray crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.

Sprinkle the chuck roast generously on both side with the salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Place roast in slow cooker.

Pour on the sweet and spicy chipotle sauce to cover completely.

Pour beer over top and around the sides of the roast.

Cover and cook on high for 7 hours.

Remove roast from pot and discard all liquids.

Shred beef and place back into slow cooker.

Pour in the Sweet Baby Ray’s and stir to coat the meat.

Set on warm 1-2 hours or until time to eat.

Serve on soft rolls.

Top with coleslaw if desired.

ENJOY!

I made this for the first time last weekend for my inlaws and everyone loved it. Even my 5 year old cleaned her plate! I couldn’t find the Kraft sauce so I used Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Chipotle sauce and it worked great.

This is the BEST recipe. I’ve made it several times and my husband and 3 year old love it! I also take to friends that have babies or need a meal for whatever reason. It’s great!

So the picture alone made me want to try this out and then when I saw how easy it was that was is it….I was off to the store!……

Took me 5 minutes to get this going in the crockpot, about an hour into cooking my house smelled soooooo goooood, how in the world was I suppose to wait 6 more hours! Back out shopping I went lol.

This recipe is not only easy it is so delicious, the beef was so tender. It is a must try and a definate keeper. I will keep making it again and again! Everyone in my family gobbled it up…even my 9 year old that said it wasn’t going to be good if it didn’t come from Arby’s!

Thanks for posting

This is an awesome recipe! I really love how easy to throw together this is. I did just a couple of things different. I did a salt/pepper/garlic powder/smoked paprika rub over night. I also used Sweet Baby Ray’s Sweet and Spicy instead of the Kraft. I love the tasted of this “carolina bbq sauce” from Target’s Archer Farms brand and I am considering doing this one again with it.

For some reason, this turned out a little tough and I had to serve it sliced instead of shredded. I did less than the 7 hours on high, so I’m not sure if that was the problem, or if you truly mean on low. Would’ve also been nice to know the size of the bottles you used for the sauce, but I made it work. The flavors were definitely there though! Here’s my blog post on it: http://heatskitchen.blogspot.com/2015/01/bbq-shredded-beef.html Thanks!

This is fabulous! So easy and so, so tasty! The second time I made this, I used regular Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce instead of Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ Sauce, to cut back on the sweetness. Love it – thanks!
