Description

Sometimes you just need the extreme comfort of a good, easy-to-throw-together, casserole. This one fits the bill! It’s super-easy to make. And even easier to eat!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • ½ cups Onion, Chopped
  • 1 can (10 1/2 Oz. Can) Condensed Cream Of Celery Or Cream Of Chicken Soup (undiluted)
  • 16 ounces, weight Package Frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Brown ground beef. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add chopped onion, cook until tender.
4. In a casserole dish, combine ground beef mixture and cream soup.
5. Top mixture with tater tots.
6. Bake , uncovered, for 30-40 minutes till bubbly and Tots are golden brown.
7. Remove from oven and top with cheese. Return to oven until melted.
8. Enjoy!

Tips:

This casserole freezes great! Just put it together then freeze until ready to bake. Adjust cooking times accordingly.

I always double or triple this one. It reheats beautifully!

I added celery with the onions and used cream of mushroom soup. It was delicious. This is definitely going to become a regular meal for us. I also added enough tater tots to cover the whole top of the casserole because 16oz just wasn’t enough.

Yummy! I substituted and used ground turkey, 98% FF cream of mushroom, and reduced fat cheese. Still delicious!

I make this all the time.. very very good.. i sometimes shred up 3-4 carrots and cook them in with the meat just to add a veggie in there. next time i make it im going to add some broccoli florets.!

this is very good! Easy and kid friendly. i sauteed sliced mushrooms with the onions and used cream of mushroom soup instead of the celery or chicken. i also salt and peppered right before i added the cheese. Thanks for this recipe!

This is one of my favorite go-to recipes when I don’t want to go all out for dinner. Simple ingredients, simple steps, and it makes me feel like a kid again. You can’t go wrong with that! Definite crowd pleaser!

My boyfriend usually doesn’t like casseroles, but he loved this so much that he asked me to make it again!
