Description

This sounds weird to you? Give this a try, and believe me, you’ll never EVER have mussels another way! It’s unbelievably easy, quick and oh my goodness, SO DELICIOUS! You’ll impress everyone with this easy, fancy dish!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Mussels
  • 2-⅓ cups Orange Marmalade
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation

Clean the mussels thoroughly under running water; throw all mussles away which stay open and not close their shell when you give them a soft knock!

In a large pot, let the orange marmalade melt under medium-high heat. Then add the garlic and the mussels and salt and pepper to taste (watch out, the mussels are naturally already very salty, so be careful not to salt to much!). Stir well, cover with a lid, and let it cook on high heat for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Now and then, shake the pot while the mussels cook without taking the lid off to prevent the orange marmalade from getting burned on the bottom of the pot. The mussels are done when they open their shells! The marmalade boils down to a nice thick glaze covering every single mussel.

Serve with fresh bread and sprinkle some parsely over it, if desired.

ENJOY!
