Description

Large shrimp baked in a bold and flavorful marinade will make this one of your favorite meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Large Or Jumbo Shrimp, Peeled And Deveined
  • ½ cups Uncooked White Rice
  • Fresh Parsley And Oregano, For Garnish
  • FOR THE MARINADE:
  • 4 cloves Roasted Garlic, Chopped
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil Or Avocado Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Dry Oregano
  • 2 teaspoons Hot Sauce
  • 1  Lemon, Juiced

Preparation

Add all marinade ingredients to small saucepan. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove marinade from heat, transfer to oven-proof dish and allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Add shrimp, cover, and refrigerate for 4 hours. Remove shrimp from fridge and let come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Cook rice according to package directions, about 20–25 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Bake shrimp until just cooked through, about 15 minutes for jumbo shrimp. Smaller shrimp will cook more quickly

Serve shrimp and sauce over rice, garnished with fresh parsley and oregano.

This marinade is insanely good. I made these shrimp for my husband, my brother in law, and my toddler, and all three of them went crazy for dinner. I will DEFINITELY make this again. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe!
