Description

Traditional Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, super easy and truly delish.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Ground Beef
  • ½  Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 3 teaspoons Italian Seasoning, Divided
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
  • 1 pound Spaghetti, Cooked
  • 2 jars (24 Oz. Size) Marinara Sauce (I Use Ragu)
  • Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese, To Serve

Preparation

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onions, seasoned with 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 salt and pepper. Put in a large stockpot of water and bring to a boil.

When the ground beef is browned, add the sauce and the remaining 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning and granulated garlic. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Taste to see if it needs more salt and pepper.

Simmer for 10 minutes. While the sauce is simmering, cook the noodles according to the package directions.

Drain the pasta and put in a large dish and pour the sauce over the top. Stir until all the pasta is coated with sauce.

Top with mounds and mounds of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve to your waiting family.

Serves 8.

Enjoy!

Note: This recipe may be halved. I usually make a large batch because we never know who might bring a friend home after school, and there is nothing better than leftover spaghetti.

Thanks for the recipe Michelle! I made this tonight with a couple minor changes. I sauteed the onions in a bit of canola oil before adding the ground beef to soften them up. I also added a generous pinch of red pepper flakes, and extra Italian seasoning and garlic. I like a lot of seasoning apparently! :) I used Newman’s marinara sauce. It was delicious, and I already can’t wait for tomorrow’s leftovers!

Love this recipe. I used a whole onion and sprinkled more italian seasoning, but kept everything else the same. Excellent flavor and ready in no time. I also used Ragu.
